Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information we process to enable the operation of Tietennis, Tiepadel, Tietennis Advisor, Tiepadel Advisor, Tietennis Scores and other products provided by Tiesports. By using the website or mobile applications, you agree to these policies. If you do not agree to them, please do not use our platforms. If you continue to use them after changes to these policies have been posted, you will be deemed to have accepted those changes.


I. Information collected

In order to provide our products, we need to process some information about you.The types of information we collect depend on how you use Tiesports products.

  • We store your name, gender, and age group as a player, which is required when you participate in games and contests promoted on the Network. In addition, each player has a competitive history that is linked to his or her profile.
  • We also store all content, communications and other information you choose to provide, such as photos, comments and messages. This may include current or past information you have voluntarily provided.
  • All information except your name, email address, gender, and date of birth is completely optional, meaning you are not required to include it in your profile.
  • Other entities, such as associations and corporations, may request other information from you. To do so, they must obtain your prior consent through our platform’s permissions control.
  • We store information about the people, hubs, clubs, and groups you have linked to, and if you do not want this information to be shared, you must change the option in your profile and in the link with that entity.
  • When you use our products to make purchases or financial transactions (such as renting parking spaces), information about the purchase or transaction is collected.
  • We also receive and analyze content, communications and information that other people provide when using our products. This may include information about you, such as when other people share or comment on a result or post of yours.
  • Our website uses “cookies” to enhance your user experience. Cookies are stored on your hard drive and are used only for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about you. Users can set their browsers to refuse cookies or to notify them when cookies are sent. If you do so, some parts of the Site may not function properly.

II. Use of information

We use the information we have as described below to provide and enable our products and their evolution.

We may provide your data to the clubs of which you are a member or to the federations in which you participate, in the organization of tournaments, in the rental or financial transaction using any of our products.
We use the information we have about you to send you marketing communications exclusive to our network, to share news about our products, and to inform you of our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.


III. How we share information

Your information is shared with others in the following ways:

When you share and communicate on our products, when you send messages to your friends, or when games or events in which you participate are announced;
Public information can be viewed by anyone;
We provide clubs that you are a member of only with the information that you authorize when you become a member of that club. You are free to review and revoke these permissions in each individual entity.


IV. Your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify, port and erase your data. You also have the right to object to and restrict certain processing of your data. This includes:

The right to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in such marketing communications;
The right to object to the processing of your data where we are carrying out a task in the public interest or exercising our legitimate interests or those of a third party. You may exercise this right in relation to any of our products.


V. Protection of Children’s Privacy, in accordance with the Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Protecting the privacy of children is especially important. For this reason, children under the age of 13 are not allowed to post photos on their player profiles. They are also not allowed to ask or befriend other players, or post comments or messages on the Network. We work with official bodies, federations and clubs to ensure that the true age of registered players is known.

Players under the age of 13 cannot change information that has been provided or verified by an official entity. In these cases, only the provider of the information (club or association) can make changes.

These entities can also upload photos to player profiles. However, we suggest that you always choose photos from a distance and at a low resolution (300x300px).


VI. Data retention and account deletion

We retain information until it is no longer needed to provide our services or until your account is deleted. If you delete your account, we will delete everything you have posted, and it will not be possible to recover this information. Information that other people, tournaments, or clubs share about you is not part of your account and will not be deleted. Data such as your name in any reference to a competition, ranking, or even a single game will not be deleted, but the name will no longer be linked to the player profile that has since been deleted.


VII. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we update the Privacy Policy, we will post the new version and notify all users.
